London based team moves to Lloyd's broker.

Cooper Gay has announced the acquisition of Benfield’s London based Aerospace team for an undisclosed sum.

With effect from 3rd November 2008, 10 high profile market practitioners including John Howes and David Sales have transferred to Cooper Gay along with their client portfolio.

Cooper Gay said it is also continuing to look to acquire other businesses and attract specialist teams that fit its strategic objectives. It is currently involved with a number of further acquisition opportunities at varying stages of development.

Jim Summers, Cooper Gay and Co’s chief executive said:”I am delighted to welcome this experienced team to our fast growing business. The transaction adds further significant resource to our London Aerospace Division following our acquisition of the London Heath Lambert aerospace team earlier this year.”
