Butcher to join Syndicate 2525 as senior class underwriter in December

Syndicate 2525 at Lloyd’s has hired QBE casualty underwriter Tim Butcher as senior class underwriter.

Butcher will join Syndicate 2525 on 1 December to develop the syndicate’s international account.

He was previously director of international liability at QBE Syndicate 386.

Syndicate 2525 active underwriter David Dale said: “Tim is a rare talent and a real asset to Syndicate 2525.”

Butcher said: “I very much welcome the opportunity of working with David Dale and his team to build up their international account. I look forward to making a positive contribution to the syndicate’s future prospects.”

Syndicate 2525, formed in 2000, is a specialist employers’ and third-party liability insurer.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
