Royal & Sunalliance (RSA) is to transfer existing business in commercial EDI policy classes to its broker support solution Enterprise.

Once the transition programme is rolled out, existing EDI policies will be run off with only mid-term adjustment messages accepted and all EDI policy classes will be automatically converted to Enterprise at the next renewal.

The move is being completed with assistance from software houses and Countrywide Marketing Insurance, and further details of how the transition will be managed will be given to brokers over the next few weeks.

RSA's small business manager Simon Cooter said: “We believe that the combination of service centre and internet development can provide brokers with flexibility, choice and excellent service levels, helping them to save both time and money.”
