Companies will underwrite motor policies, and one will be supported by specialist UK brokers
Heritage Insurance Management, (HIMM) has announced the formation of Trinity Lane Insurance Co and Setanta Insurance Co in Malta.
Both companies will initially be underwriting motor insurance and personal accident cover.
Trinity Lane has entered the UK market and will initially be supported by a number of specialist brokers in the UK.
Richard Tee, chief operating officer of Heritage Group, said: “As part of its expansion process, HIMM is building a team of professionals with the necessary experience and expertise to provide the full range of insurance services.
"In this respect, Heritage is pleased to announce that Evander Borg has joined the group and will be heading the Malta operation.
"We are delighted to have Evander on board, he has a wealth of experience in international business and in the Maltese insurance market.”
The Maltese operation will be supported by Heritage Group’s Guernsey office, which has acted for insurers and reinsurers in international markets.
