Department offloaded to Birmingham broker.
Holman’s, the Lloyds wholesale brokers, has sold its commercial retail department, Holman Risk and Insurance Management (HRIM), to Southall Harries, a broker based in Birmingham.
Andrew Holman, chief executive of Holman's, said: “ As dedicated wholesalers, over the years we had been left with various accounts that needed servicing. These accounts were operated from a dedicated division but equated to less than 2% of our turnover and have latterly become a bit of a distraction.
"The sale of this business to one of our supporting brokers allows us to focus on our key strengths of providing wholesale solutions to our network of over two and a half thousand UK retail brokers.”
