Glen Marr appointed director of Insurance Fraud Bureau

The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) hsa appointed Glen Marr as director with effect from mid July 2010.

Marr will be leaving his role as vice president, financial crime at Chartis Insurance UK (formerly AIG) to take up the position.

Ben Fletcher, who has been acting as interim head of unit following Sue Jones’ departure from the position in March, will continue in his role as IFB head of operations.

Marr will be responsible for the leadership, day-to-day operations of the Bureau and its strategic direction.

David Neave, chairman, IFB said: “Following a rigorous selection and interview process, I am delighted to confirm Glen’s appointment and welcome him to the team.

"As a current member of the IFB Board, Glen has a good understanding of the opportunities and challenges for the IFB and this coupled with his 21 years experience in the claims fraud management arena makes him the ideal appointment.

"I would also like to take this opportunity on behalf of the IFB Board and members to thank Ben Fletcher for his support during the recruitment period.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
