The ‘appointment underscores the growing momentum within Aon’s broking capabilities’, says head of financial and professional services group

Global professional services firm and broker Aon has promoted Tom Anderson to head of professional services within its London-based Global Broking Centre (GBC).

In this role, Anderson will lead strategic advisory, operational efficiency and client service delivery across professional services broking work undertaken in Aon’s GBC.

John Brosnan, head of the financial and professional services group at Aon, said: “This appointment underscores the growing momentum within Aon’s broking capabilities and reflects our commitment to the 3x3 strategy, driving smarter, faster and more scalable solutions through increased investment in the future of risk and human capital.”

Change in focus

Anderson first joined Aon in 2023 as an executive director. In this role, he was tasked to lead Aon’s design and construction professional indemnity team in the GBC.

Before his tenure at Aon, Anderson worked at construction organisation Morgan Sindall – as managing quantity surveyor from 2004 and group insurance manager from 2016.

Anderson assumed his latest role at Aon this month (August 2025).

Brosnan continued: “I am excited to work with Anderson in his new role and I am confident his expertise and professionalism will enhance Aon’s delivery of industry-leading client solutions.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
