’One of the biggest challenges we see is that many organisations are unaware of the hidden vulnerabilities embedded in their supply chains,’ says global risk consulting leader

Aon has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered supply chain risk consulting offering.

Using AI and advanced data modelling, the proposition analyses frequency and severity of supply chain events over time from more than 80,000 sources in over 200 countries.

This helps businesses uncover both primary and secondary risks, including traditionally difficult-to-measure exposures such as supplier concentration and logistics bottlenecks.

“One of the biggest challenges we see is that many organisations are unaware of the hidden vulnerabilities embedded in their supply chains,” said Richard Waterer, global risk consulting leader at Aon.

“Our new capabilities are designed to surface those risks, so our clients can make faster, more informed decisions and build greater resilience across their operations.”

‘New approach’

The proposition builds upon Aon’s existing supply chain diagnostics and leverages predictive analytics to identify emerging risks, supporting organisations in proactively managing complex and interconnected supply chain risks with greater clarity, speed and foresight.

“The pace and complexity of supply chain disruptions demand a new approach,” said Joe Galusha, head of risk consulting for North America at Aon.

“By integrating advanced AI analytics with Aon’s deep industry knowledge, we’re not just identifying risks, we’re enabling clients to anticipate disruptions, respond with agility and maintain continuity even in the face of rapid change.”
