WTW’s real estate practice executive director talks to Insurance Times about achieving manager of the month for February in this year’s Fantasy Football league
Gameweek 28 kicks off this evening with a midlands derby, as third placed Aston Villa visit almost certainly relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers under the lights at 8pm.
This gives Insurance Times Fantasy Football League managers until 18.30 to lock in their transfers for the gameweek, with fixtures such as Leeds v Manchester City and Arsenal v Chelsea looking interesting.

Before all that gets started, however, Insurance Times thought it would speak to the Fantasy league’s manager of the month for February – WTW’s Tony Wright, who is executive director for the firm’s real estate practice.
Wright accumulated 241 points across the month of February, catapulting himself into 25th place in the league with 1,608 total points.
1. Congratulations on being the manager of the month for February, how do you rate your chances of climbing the table further and kicking on from here?
Thank you! I’m very happy with the progress made over the past few weeks, however there is a big gap between myself and the top five so I will need to pick players wisely – and probably have a large amount of luck!

2. What are the key decisions to make ahead of gameweek 28?
There is a blank week for Arsenal and Man City in GW31 and, having three of each in my team, I need to work out whether to replace them or use a wild card or free hit chip
3. Who would you call out as an under-rated player for everyone’s Fantasy squad?
I’ve had James Garner from Everton for a few months now and he continues to play every game and pick up regular defensive contributions, as well as the odd goal contribution.

4. Who or what would you like to call out in the insurance industry?
WTW are very good at supporting charities, with their latest charity being Calm – Campaign Against Living Miserably. Calm do amazing work and provide superb support for those who are struggling mentally.
