‘We identified a gap in the creatives sector for the right protection available online at the right price,’ says commercial director
Specialist digital distributor Starpeak has expanded its SME proposition by partnering with commercial insurer Peach to launch a new product targeting the creatives sector.
The scheme was designed for professions such as photographers, videographers and web designers, but is also available to a wide range of creative businesses, including advertising agencies, ceramic artists, interior designers, script writers and visual merchandisers.
Cover within the new product includes public liability as standard, with optional add-ons such as professional indemnity, employers’ liability, technical business equipment, personal accident, operating abroad and legal expenses.
Andy Brownsell, commercial director at Starpeak, said: “We are constantly looking to create products which are not readily available to certain professions in the SME space – either online or at competitive rates.
“We identified a gap in the creatives sector for the right protection available online at the right price.
”Thanks to our close working relationship with Peach over the last three years, we knew that it was the right partner to collaborate with to develop a product that would fill this gap.”
Another Starpeak and Peach partnership
Starpeak first teamed up with Peach in 2022.
The two firms’ collaborations so far include extending Starpeak’s hairdressing scheme to cover salon premises in June 2025, as well as expanding the distributor’s product set for the micro and SME markets – this broadening started in September 2024.

Ryan Bendelow, commercial director at Peach, said: “We, like Starpeak, are committed to supporting niche SME markets which can’t currently access the level of cover they need to protect their businesses and help them reach their growth aspirations.
“It’s refreshing to work alongside a partner that can leverage its technology expertise to deliver superior customer experiences. And our agile approach to scheme business means that we can respond quickly to new market opportunities.”
Starpeak, formerly known as SportsCover Direct, insures more than 150,000 policyholders across the UK through its consumer and SME brands, including Protectivity. Peach is the trading name of NPA Insurance, which has operated in the UK since 1899.
In October 2024, Peach rebranded after previously being known as Peach Pi.
