Insurance services specialist, Inter Group, has seen business expand by 20% due to the acquisition of its parent company Churchill by Royal Bank of Scotland.

The company has also picked up the claims and travel advisory contracts for both NatWest and Coutts credit card travel schemes.

The new business, formerly with FirstAssist, saw the company expand from 320 to 370 employees with more contracts in the pipeline.

Inter Group managing director Laurie Hopkins said: "We are still small enough to be flexible in meeting customer requirement. We expect more business to come through the RBS deal, but not just from them."
