Bank of England drops rate to record low
The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee has cut interest rates to 1.5%, down from 2%.
The 0.5% reduction sees the rate fall to its lowest level in the bank's history.
The bank has dropped the rate four times since October in an effort to ease the financial crisis.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
