Broker offers small businesses online policies.
JLT has launched an online portal offering commercial insurance to micro-businesses, Insurantz.com, to be underwritten by Brit.
It will target sole traders, micro-businesses that employ less than 10 people and small SMEs employing up to 50 people.
The launch follows JLT’s acquisition of Pavilion, a niche specialist insurance business with a track record of selling SME insurance online, in June 2007.
Brit UK chief executive Peter Burrows said: “As a business committed to e-trading, the venture with JLT Online has given us access to a partner with considerable capabilities and experience in online trading.”
JLT UK chief executive Adrian Girling said: “We have commissioned a significant amount of research into the UK market and JLT Online’s e-trading platform has delivered a simplified approach to buying a wide range of business insurance products.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
