The number has doubled from 1 million back in 2007
The number of policyholders using insurance products developed by Junction BGL’s affinity arm has grown by 100% to 2 million since 2007.
Junction works with retail and banking brands, such as Marks and Spencer and HSBC to develop and design insurance products.
BGL intermediated businesses group director Peter Thompson said the growth has been becuase of a growing number of consumers who choose to buy insurance products from household names.
Thompson added: “We operate in a highly competitive market where today’s consumers have more choice, and autonomy, than ever.
“But the beauty of affinity products is that customers already trust the brands and often have a longstanding relationship with them.”
In 2013 Junction secured a new agreement to provide insurance on behalf of Markerstudy under the Zenith Insurance brand and renewed its agreement with RAC to continue managing motor insurance.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
