Jo Hine is appointed chief financial officer
Jo Hine has been appointed chief financial officer and a board director of Tokio Marine Global ).
Hine has been Kiln Group’s head of financial operations since 2005 and has worked in the insurance market for more than 20 years. She will take responsibility for all financial matters at Tokio Marine Global, a London-based subsidiary of the Tokio Marine Group, which underwrites international reinsurance and insurance business in the London market. The appointment remains subject to regulatory approval.
Haru Tagaya, chief executive officer at Tokio Marine Global, said: “I am delighted to welcome someone of Jo’s calibre and experience to TMG, and believe that her in-depth knowledge of London market operation will prove invaluable to our business”.
Charles Franks, group chief executive officer at Kiln said: “Of course we are sorry to see her go, but we are delighted that Jo is able to take up this role within the Tokio Marine group. With its established national and international presence, its strong balance sheet and matching values, Tokio Marine will continue to provide Kiln with excellent opportunities.”
Peter Haynes, the current TMG and Kiln Group CFO, will continue in the latter role, and in the financial management of all London-based Tokio Marine companies and will become a non-executive director of TMG.
