Lloyd's insurer says underwriting conditions are improving
Lloyd's insurer Kiln, part of The Tokio Marine Group, has said that it is seeing improved underwriting conditions in an updated forecast of its syndicates.
Kiln chief executive Charles Franks,said: "For 2009 we continue to focus our efforts on those parts of the account where we are seeing improved underwriting conditions, in particular in reinsurance, offshore energy and larger property risks.
"At the same time we are mindful of reduced market appetite for other insurances as a consequence of current global economic conditions.”
