Wolfgang Weis to head up German operation
Liberty International Underwriters Europe (LIU Europe has appointed Dr Wolfgang Weis as branch manager for Germany.
Based in LIU Europe’s Cologne office, Weis will be responsible for managing all LIU’s German operations.
Reporting to Gerard van Loon, managing director of LIU Europe’s Continental European operations, Weis started his career in 1989 in commercial lines sales and underwriting and has held various management roles in the industry over the past two decades.
Gerard van Loon said: “Our progress in building and developing LIU’s Continental European operations is enhanced further by Dr Weis’s appointment. His extensive underwriting and insurance expertise makes him an ideal candidate to lead our German business as we look to grow our market share in that country.”
