Former R&SA broker head to lead commercial growth across retail bank customers

Lloyds TSB Insurance has appointed Mike Canniffe as UK retail bank partnership and product development director.

In the role Canniffe will be responsible for the commercial development of Lloyds TSB Insurance through the group’s retail banking division.

He will be in charge of developing insurance propositions across all distribution channels and product lines.

Canniffe joins the broker from Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) where he spent three years, in a variety of senior positions - most recently as chief operating officer in the insurer’s broker division.

While at R&SA he led a number of teams and managed a range of insurance products across several distribution channels.

Prior to that he spent nine years at GE Consumer Finance, as director of client management and sales and latterly as Six Sigma quality leader, Europe.
