Chris Wheal, has been appointed the new editor of Insurance Times. He will replace Andrew Pring, who has been editor for a year and is taking up a senior editorship elsewhere.
Wheal has been a freelance financial journalist since 1995 and is founding chairman of the Financial Journalists Group. He is a regular contributor to the CII Journal, Biba's Broker title and Lloyd's. He has also written regularly for Insurance Times.
Wheal said: "Insurance Times has come on leaps and bounds. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to continue that process of development."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
