Insurance Times rounds up the biggest appointments and promotions from 16 to 20 September 2024
Starting off the week, Consilium appointed Marie McCutcheon as its new chief operating officer (COO) to take responsibility for its operational development.
McCutcheon joins the global specialty (re)insurance broker business of parent Aventum Group from TT Club Mutual Insurance, where she was employed as process consultant.
Then, Clare Lebecq stepped down from her role as chief operating officer (COO) at Specialist Risk Group (SRG).
Lebecq joined the broker in 2021 and spent three years working in the COO role.
Following this, Ardonagh-owned reinsurance broker Price Forbes Re made two new appointments to expand its facultative team across all product lines.
Among the new hires is Fred Few Brown, who joins as a director and will be responsible for property facultative.
Jonathan Gerken, meanwhile, has been hired to focus on terrorism and political violence facultative reinsurance worldwide.
And then, Aon promoted Mona Barnes to the role of global chief claims officer.
This week also saw Aviva announce that Michelle Taylor is being given a wider broking remit as part of several changes at the insurer.
Taylor, who had been strategic accounts director, will move into the role of broker distribution director and take responsibility for the broking development teams.
Rounding off the week, Lloyd’s of London announced that Sir Charles Roxburgh will become its next chair.
Roxburgh will take up the position on 1 May 2025, succeeding Bruce Carnegie-Brown after an eight-year term.
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
