’We are poised to set new standards in the commercial van and telematics space,’ says founder

Zurich UK has teamed up with managing general agent (MGA) Freedom Services to drive growth in the commercial van and telematics sectors.

The partnership forms part of both firms’ growth strategy and will include product distribution through Freedom’s sister company Stella Woman.

Sam White, founder and chair of Freedom Services and Stella Woman, said the “collaboration represents a great opportunity for our organisations and, more importantly, for our customers”.

“Zurich are culturally a great fit for us and our teams have already forged a strong bond,” she said.

“By combining our strengths, we are poised to set new standards in the commercial van and telematics space, offering unparalleled value and service.”

Strategy

This came after Zurich UK announced that it was refocusing its strategy to maximise growth opportunities, whilst building its MGA and partnership relationships.

Back in July 2023, the insurer said it had “reviewed its mass market home and motor strategy to simplify routes to market and focus on the areas where there are greater opportunities to grow”.

David Nichols, head of retail at Zurich UK, said: “Last year, Zurich announced that we were refocusing our strategy to maximise growth opportunities while building our MGA and partnership relationships.

“Freedom is a company with a fantastic proposition and an ethos that aligns closely with ours. Its depth of knowledge and the quality of their proposition reaffirms our commitment to finding the very best innovative solutions for our customers.”
