Appointment follows departure of former insurance relations director Colin Matthews

Paymentshield has hired former Swinton executive Amanda Fox as insurer relations director.

Her appointment to the Towergate-owned mortgage protection broker follows the departure of former insurance relations director Colin Matthews, who joined rival firm UK General in January.

Fox was previously insurer account manager at broking group Swinton. In her new role she will report to Paymentshield commercial director Brendan McCafferty.

Paymentshield chief executive Tim Johnson said: “I am delighted to welcome Amanda into this important role within Paymentshield. With her experience in running a substantial household panel I am confident Amanda will further improve our relationships with our insurer panel ensuring consistency of products and services.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
