Director of affinity Tim Wright will take on the new role in October

RSA director of affinity Tim Wright has been promoted to director of broker for its UK personal lines business.

He will take on the newly created role from 1 October.

Wright will be responsible for delivering growth and profitability across RSA’s UK personal lines broker business and will report to Mark Allan, managing director of RSA’s UK intermediated personal lines division.

He said: “Tim has an excellent track record of building successful partnerships and working with business partners to develop sustainable, profitable portfolios.

“His senior appointment further underlines our commitment to our brokers at a time when we are re-focusing our proposition.”

Back in July the insurer confirmed it was severing ties with 800 motor brokers following a business review.

RSA stressed it would remain committed to the 1,100 personal lines brokers in either purely home products or a portfolio that included motor.

Wright added: “Brokers are of significant strategic importance to RSA and I am delighted to have been appointed to the role of director of broker.

“I look forward to developing our strategy and working with both my teams and our broker partners to drive profitability for our businesses.”
