Former Lloyd's chief executive Ron Sandler has been nominated to become Institute of Financial Services (IFS) president from October 2004.
The IFS has also nominated Marsh chief executive Bruce Carnegie-Brown as deputy president, also from October 2004.
The nominations, which have been approved by the IFS council, will be put to the GAM in October 2004, said the institute.
IFS chief executive Gavin Sheeve, said: “We're delighted to have Ron Sandler and Bruce Carnegie-Brown on board. The membership of our Council reflects the broad spectrum of the financial services industry at its highest level.
“With such senior and respected figures at the helm, the Institute will be in an even better position to promote its services to the wider financial services community.”
