iConnect service to add new insurers and products over the summer.

SSP has rolled out its integrated imarket solution, iConnect, to its first 100 brokers and aims to add a further 100 by the end of September, the company said in a statement.

SSP said it had devised plans to enhance the system by signing up further insurers and adding new products to the panel.

SSP has achieved full imarket integration with AXA, Allianz, Groupama, Norwich Union and RSA for shop, office and tradesman business lines.

Last month, Fortis’ Shop product was added to the panel and their office and tradesman products will be released soon, alongside NIG and MMA's shop, office and tradesman products.

SSP said it would continue to provide iConnect to its brokers free of charge for the foreseeable future.

Steve Bow, SSP’s Intermediary Director, said: “We listened to the feedback from our pilot users and made some enhancements to the system so that the processes were even slicker. This has really paid off as the brokers in the latest phase of the roll-out have been particularly impressed with the speed and simplicity of the system, meaning that they can get up and running very quickly.

"With competition in the SME market continuing to increase, brokers are keenly aware of the need to strip out inefficient manual processes and implement technology which will allow them to be more efficient.”
