More than 100 Aon employees have been transferred to Johnson Controls (JCI) as part of a £70m outsourcing deal. Aon has outsourced its UK facilities management services to JCI for the next five years.

JCI will take care of more than 100 Aon sites, with discussion underway for it to also to provide project management and consulting services. The contract guarantees property-related savings for Aon, which was a key factor in the selection of JCI.

The 100 employees were moved to JCI under the Transfer of Undertaking Protection of Employees (TUPE) EU directive. This means that when a change of supplier affects the jobs of more than 50% of the department's employees, those employees are transferred to the supplier.
