London insurer’s refusal to fund case costs challenged

Alleged Ponzi scheme fraudster Allen Stanford is suing Lloyd's for defence costs after it refused further payments in a letter to him on 16 November, Reuters reports.

Laura Pendergest-Holt, Stanford's former chief investment officer, and former Stanford accounting executives Mark Kuhrt and Gilbert Lopez are also plaintiffs in the lawsuit.
