Lloyd's found itself footing a large chunk of the bill when Katherine Harries completed a two-month walk from John O'Groats to Land's End.
The world-renowned opera singer was trekking across the UK in aid of Speakability, a charity devoted to helping people overcome the effects of the communicative disorder aphasia.
Lloyd's had sponsored Harries £80,000 to complete the challenge.
