Butler has more than 26 years experience in the financial services sector

Towergate appointed financial services veteran Pat Butler to its board as non-executive director.

Butler, who spent 26 years at McKinsey where he lead the UK financial services arm, is also a non-executive director at Bank of Ireland, Hikma plc and Business Bank Investments.

He said: “I look forward to being part of the journey to turn around growth at the UK’s most important independent general insurance distributor.”

Butler is also a partner at large scale financial services restructuring firm The Resolution Group.
