Partnership wins Sunday Times Fast Track management award

Towergate has posted earnings of £166m in 2007, according to a statement from the consolidator.

No other details of the companies latest results were disclosed in the statement. A spokesman said the figure applied to the group's profits before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, and did not include the contribution made by CCV.

The spokesman added that further details would be released next week.

The news came as the Towergate Partnership announced it had won the award for “Best Management Team of the Year” by the Sunday Times Fast Track for 2007.

The award ranks Britain's top private companies with the fastest growing sales over the last three years. Towergate currently controls £2.1bn in premium. It has made 16 acquisitions in the past year.

The company was also named “2008 UK Private Company of the Year” by readers of ACQ Finance Magazine for the second year in succession.

Towergate’s executive chairman, Peter Cullum said: “This is a superb achievement and is huge recognition to the performance of our management team across the UK.

"These awards are also testament to our successful business strategy, distribution model and ability to continually reinvent.

"To be recognised by leading figures within the financial world and peers is extremely satisfying and reaffirms our position as a leading player within the insurance world.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
