NU to insure fire damage at College of Arms

Norwich Union is the lead insurer of the College of Arms, the central London building that contains the coats of arms and pedigrees of English, Welsh, Northern Irish and Commonwealth families, which was damaged by fire last week. Jason Harris, senior claims manager at Aviva, said he believed most of the damage was to internal fixtures and fittings. Early estimates suggest the blaze will cost insurers more than £1m.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
