Global Specialities and FINEX get new senior roles

Willis Global Specialties has announced the appointment of Matthew Wilson as chief operating officer for Global Specialties, and Mike Pinard as chief operating officer of the group’s Financial and Executive Risks division, FINEX Global.

Global Specialties includes aerospace, marine, energy and financial solutions, along with the international businesses of construction, FINEX Global and Global Markets International.

Wilson will focus on continuing to drive improvements in operational efficiencies to support the strategic growth plan for the Global Specialties division.

Wilson has spent the last nine years working in various divisions of Willis. Most recently he was the chief operating officer of Shaping our Future Marketing. Prior to this he was chief operating officer of Global Markets International and before that deputy group compliance director with responsibility for the International division. Wilson started with Willis as a commercial solicitor in its legal department, having previously worked in-house with Legal & General and private practice city law firms.

Pinard has recently been operations director of Willis Global Specialties. Prior to that he was commercial director and chief administrative officer of Willis’ Aerospace division.
