Allianz UK insured the Tottenham branch of Aldi, which was razed in the London riots, for £4m.

A spokesman for the insurer said it was too early to tell what the final payout would be.

The store was targeted in the first night of rioting last Saturday.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
