New roles for Chris Little and David Martin

Allianz Commercial has restructured its executive team, handed new roles to Chris Little and David Martin.

Little moves from head of SME direct markets to director, engineering markets, replacing Neil Clutterbuck who was appointed director, underwriting and technical, commercial
earlier this year.

David Martin, previously head of SME affinity & broker markets, has been named director of SME markets, adding responsibility for the Allianz-owned direct business insurance specialist, Premierline.

Allianz Commercial general manager, Chris Hanks, said: “Two of our great strengths are stability and consistency so I am delighted that we have been able to realign our executive team internally, reflecting the outstanding talent we have in our business.

“Chris and David have already demonstrated outstanding leadership during their time with the company and their skills and capabilities will help us meet the future challenges of the market
as we continue to outperform our competitors.”

He added: “Having spent the past three years as a member of our executive team, heading our Premierline business, Chris understands the challenges of the Engineering market and will
move seamlessly into his new position.

“The broadening of David’s responsibilities ensures that all SME business will report into a single director, enabling greater knowledge sharing and consistency which I am confident will
facilitate more growth.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
