Kim Alcock steps in to new role

GAB Robins UK has appointed Kim Alcock as its new casualty director with immediate effect.

She succeeds Nick Patterson who left the company earlier this year.

Alcock will head up the casualty service line with responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of services encompassing employers’ and public liability, motor liability, professional indemnity, product recall and other specialist liability areas as well as working with Local Authorities and Housing Associations.

She joined GAB Robins in 2008, following a career break, prior to which she was head of liability for McLarens.

Mike Jones, chief operating officer for GAB Robins UK, said: “Casualty was our fastest growing Service Line in 2008 & we plan to build on that progress over the next few years. Kim’s expertise in the management of major and complex losses has been of real benefit to the business already and I’m delighted she’s agreed to take on this crucial role.”
