Loss adjuster appointed to UK Property panel

QBE has selected GAB Robins to provide loss adjusting services to QBE’s UK property division, following the recent tender process for its UK Property Loss Adjuster panel.

The insurer said GAB Robins will work alongside existing supplier Teceris.

As part of the same tender process, GAB Robins has also been appointed to provide front-of-house claims handling for the QBE Property business on a white label basis.

Andrew McBride, claims director for QBE European Operations said: “QBE has grown as an organisation over the last few years, and our property team in particular continues to see major growth, both through the acquisition of books of business such as the Endurance portfolio, and through increased penetration of the market. To support our ongoing growth and to meet our customers’ needs we have broadened and enhanced our claims handling resources for this area of the business with the appointment of GAB. We believe that together GAB Robins and Teceris will make a strong loss adjusting panel for QBE’s Property business.”

Kieran Rigby, chief executive of GAB Robins UK, said: “GAB Robins are delighted to be appointed to work with an organisation of the quality and market presence of QBE. We are especially pleased that this is an end-to-end arrangement supporting the investment we have made in developing our systems capability. We look forward to the initiation of our new partnership with all parts of the business over the coming weeks and months.”
