Richard Pryce to join London office later this year

QBE has named ACE UK president Richard Pryce as deputy chief executive of QBE European Operations.

Pryce will take up his role later in the year and will be based in QBE’s London office, reporting to QBE European Operations chief executive Steven Burns.

Pryce has worked in the London insurance market for 30 years, latterly as president of ACE UK, where he was responsible for its London market speciality business, including Lloyd’s operations, and the company’s property and casualty insurance business in the UK and Ireland.

Burns said: “I am delighted that Richard will be joining QBE, his wealth of experience in the insurance market will be of great value to us as we continue to grow our business in the UK and Europe. I am very much looking forward to working with him.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
