Mark Homan to step in as Keith Stibbards retires

ACE Group has appointed Mark Homan as executive vice president, casualty, for ACE’s international insurance operations.

Homan will take up the role from 1 July 2012. He will be responsible for ACE’s commercial liability insurance business in 50 countries throughout Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. 

He will be based in London and will report to ACE Overseas General division president, commercial property & casualty David Furby.

Homan will replace Keith Stibbards, who is retiring after more than 40 years in the industry. Stibbards will act as an advisor after he retires.

Furby said: “We are delighted to have an underwriter of Mark’s calibre in this key role.

“At the same time, we would like to thank Keith for the huge contribution he has made to ACE over a long and distinguished career. We congratulate him upon his retirement and wish him all the best for the future.”

Homan joined ACE in 2011 as senior vice president, casualty, international insurance operations.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
