In this newly-created role, Haney will be responsible for the company’s commercial and contract surety operations in the US and for overseeing the underwriting of ACE’s surety offerings globally. Based in Philadelphia, he will report to Maleno for US operations and to O’Donnell for international operations.

He will be responsible for developing new products, setting underwriting guidelines and authorities, assisting with underwriting strategy and coordinating portfolio management for ACE’s international financial lines business. He will be based in London and will report to O’Donnell.

“ACE’s financial and professional lines businesses globally represent a major franchise and source of strength for our company. We are pleased to have such talented insurance leaders assume these key roles,” said ACE Ltd’s vice-chairman and chief operating officer John Keogh.

“Their depth of expertise and records of accomplishment in their respective business lines and markets will serve our clients and business partners well as we seek to further grow these businesses around the world. In particular, Tim’s leadership in developing ACE’s professional lines practice in North America will enable us to facilitate better coordinated solutions for customers and brokers across our global operations.”
