Reid and Brown step up to new roles

ACE Group has announced two promotions within its management and underwriting team in the UK and Ireland region.

Major risks casualty manager Mike Reid has been promoted to casualty product line manager, UK and Ireland. He will have responsibility for all aspects of the region’s casualty insurance business lines, including setting strategy and direction and ensuring profitable growth.

Based in London, Reid will report to David Robinson, regional president, UK and Ireland. He joined ACE 10 years ago from an insurance broker and has held a number of positions in casualty underwriting.

Senior casualty underwriter Stuart Brown has been promoted to casualty manager, major risks, reporting to Reid. In this role, he will have day-to-day responsibility for all casualty business within ACE’s major risks customer segment, including relationship management with key brokers and clients. Brown has 12 years of underwriting experience in the casualty insurance market, six of them with ACE.

The changes will take place with immediate effect.
