Nick Hinton joins loss adjuster along with new non-executive director John Cavoores

Loss adjuster Cunningham Lindsey has hired former Marsh executive Nick Hinton as its new chief financial officer.

He replaces interim global chief financial officer Rick Abbey.

Hinton was previously chief financial officer of Marsh International. He has held a number of other positions at the broking group between 1998 and 2013, including chief financial officer of Marsh US and Canada and global leader of finance transformation.

Cunningham Lindsey chief executive Jane Tutoki said: “Nick has demonstrated an ability to effectively manage the finance functions of complex global insurance services operations.

“We believe Nick will be a great complement to our talented global senior management team.”

Cunningham Lindsey has also appointed John Cavoores as a non-executive director. Cavoores has 35 years’ insurance industry experience. Rom 2005 to present has served as director on various boards, including Aspen Insurance Holdings, Guidewire Software, Cyrus Re Holdings and Alliant Insurance Holdings.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
