Former England star becomes the face of young driver insurer ingenie
Gary Lineker is backing a new car insurer that is targeting the 17 to 25-year-old age bracket.
Ingenie uses telematics and is underwritten by Ageas.
The Match of the Day host has teamed up with former RSA Insurance managing director Steve Broughton, who is an investor in ingenie.
Former Direct Line director Chris McKee and Innovation Group co-founder Richard King head the executive team.
Lineker said ingenie was ‘a real alternative to sky-high premiums’ being offered to young drivers.
Lineker has become the face of the ingenie, although it is not yet clear whether he is an investor.
Development costs to date run to £3.5m, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
