Catastrophe modeler AIR Worldwide Corp. said late Sunday that insured losses from Hurricane Dennis could reach as much as $2.5bn.

The hurricane made landfall Sunday on the Florida Panhandle, the same general area as Hurricane Ivan, which hit in 2004 but AIR predicted Dennis would be less destructive. By Monday, Dennis been downgraded to a tropical depression.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
