RBS Insurance was formed on 1 September 2003 after the newly acquired Churchill Insurance Group businesses were brought together with the former Direct Line Group businesses by the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. RBS Insurance has 13.2 million motor and home policies in the UK and a further 1.5 million motor policies in Europe.
RBS Insurance comprises many well known brands including Churchill, Direct Line, Privilege, Green Flag Motoring Assistance, UKI Partnerships, NIG, Devitt and Inter Group.
