Royal & SunAlliance's commercial arm has launched its first club for the top 200 of its brokers.

Energy, which is being initially piloted with 50 brokers, will be rolled out across the UK later this year.

Brokers belonging to the scheme are likely to be offered a range of attractive benefits including, consultancy services and a more streamlined approach to their business.

A RSA spokesman said brokers have been selected for the initiative on the basis of several factors such as their "standing in their community, professionalism and performance of their portfolio of business". An integral part of the Energy initiative is an interactive web site for brokers to obtain on-line training in risk management.

Steve Ginn, business development manager of Energy at RSA, said: "Our approach will provide brokers with long-term support in vital areas that they themselves have identified as important."
