Cunningham Lindsey has appointed Mark Henderson as business improvement director. Previously Henderson headed up Cunningham’s claims management services arm, which recently merged with the firm’s loss adjusting services team.

Deal

V=-owned Britannia Rescue has signed a deal to provide breakdown cover to Brightside’s road rescue customers. Brightside’s road rescue policies are sold as add-on cover to Brightside’s motor insurance customers. Britannia will add around 90,000 existing Brightside customers from 1 February.

Swindle

Financial fraud in 2011 topped £3.5bn, according to KPMG’s fraud barometer. KPMG forensic partner Hitesh Patel said: “2011 was an extraordinary year for fraudsters – as demonstrated by the record losses through large-scale cases of fraud that dominated the headlines. These figures represent the thin edge of a much bigger wedge.”

Exit

Carole Nash commercial director Simon Jackson has left the firm after four years. A spokesman said that Jackson had always intended to leave after around three years in the role.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
