An article in Insurance Times on 20 March ("Swinton plans six buys a month") caused quite a stir. In the piece Swinton said it had bought Ladybird Insurance. It seems Fresh! Insurance was inundated with calls asking if it was up for sale. Why? Because the specialist insurance intermediary's female motor product is called Ladybird Insurance.

Fresh! director Lisa McPherson told Backchat: "We have been quite astounded by the amount of calls we have had regarding the sale of Warrington-based high street broker Ladybird Insurance to Swintons. It seems people have, not surprisingly, got their wires crossed."
