The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has released an exposure draft of a revised Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) on accounting for insurance companies.
The guidance will replace the current version of the SORP published in November 2003, the ABI said.
Included in the proposed changes is a recognition that listed groups now subject to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
