Dr Stephen Hill joins as director of data and intelligence

Absolute Partnership has hired data expert Dr Stephen Hill as director of data and intelligence.

Hill joins the claims investigation specialist permanently after having worked for the company as a consultant since 2011.

He has previously worked as head of the fraud and forensic group for a large accounting firm, and currently is a trustee director and chair of the cybercrime working group of the Fraud Advisory Panel and advisor to the City of London Police Economic Crime Directive.

In addition to working for several insurance companies, he also provides training for police services across the UK and worked as an adviser for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

In his new role, Hill will be responsible for research techniques, data security and opening new markets.

Absolute managing director David Beardsworth said: “It is so rewarding to be able to develop a relationship with, and ultimately recruit, people you like working with and believe to be at the top of their field. Stephen certainly fits that bracket.

“These are exciting times for Absolute in terms of growing client base and continual innovation, and Stephen helps us extend our offering and adds first class experience to our strict governance regime.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
