Phil Sharpe appointed UK casualty director.

ACE appointed Phil Sharpe as Director of Casualty and Major Risks for the UK & Ireland.

Sharpe joins ACE from AIG where he was Director of the insurer's UK Liabilities Division.

He will manage ACE UK’s casualty portfolio across all eleven of its offices in the UK and Ireland, as well as co-ordinating the major risk activity.

Sharp has almost 30 years experience in the insurance market, and has also held positions at CIGNA and Axa Global Risks.

Richard Pryce, President ACE UK said: “I am delighted to have someone of Phil’s calibre and experience leading our casualty business. In his role he will help to grow our portfolio across the UK and Ireland in all three sectors – major risks, commercial and international.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
